Loose Women presenter Kaye Adams has been named patron of Home-Start Glasgow North charity, which helps vulnerable families struggling to cope with illness, disability, bereavement and loneliness.

The charity offers help to anyone affected by poverty, abuse, violence, drugs and social isolation. Adams, who divides her time between London and Glasgow, said she was inspired to help by her own experiences as a mum.
